After a bit of a slow start the day has been uneventful. Bob is a bit puzzled by the alarm system on this vehicle but this morning seemed to sort out the problem without really knowing what he'd done. However, it wasn't over yet! He managed to start it without the alarm and hazard lights going off but we drove 50 mtrs and it stopped dead and wouldn't go again....(grrr) Warwick went to ring the NRMA but after about 20 minutes the engine ticked over beautifully!? We cancelled the NRMA and set off once more. We re-fuelled in Broken Hill and stopped off at the little border(S.A.) hamlet of Cockburn for lunch before I (Yvonne) took the wheel and drove to Peterborough.
We bought a few groceries in Peterborough and then Fay drove the rest of the way to Hawker. We are in a fairly snug on-site caravan but at least we have our own bathroom in an adjoining building. It's cold and tonight there is a bit of rain. Hope there's none tomorrow night as we are camping for the first time this trip!
Off to Leigh Creek, Marree and William Creek tomorrow!! Yippee!
As Bob likes to say "We're living like Kings!"
seems ur having a great time!!!
