Halls Creek - Stuart Highway

We left Halls Creek last Friday morning to embark upon the last of the gravel roads we are to travel on this trip. After driving up the Tanami Road none of us really wanted to go back that way so decided to go quite a bit further north and discover 3 more outback roads - namely the Duncan Road the Buntine and Buchanan Highways. After the first 50 kms out of Halls Creek we weren't sure that we had made the right decision but after that, the road improved remarkably. We are now in Tennant Creek and are off to 'Alice' tomorrow so I shall write more in the days that we have there.Bob has to mend all sorts of things - this time it was the broom handle, broken by me whilst sweeping out our tent!
